Patna, December 6: Bapu Sabhagar witnessed a colourful and spirited celebration on Saturday as Radiant International School, Patna, hosted its annual function titled “Samarth – The Rainbow of Skills,” featuring performances by students from Nursery to Class V.
With participation from nearly 780 children, the event focused on the idea that education extends beyond academics, celebrating practical learning and creative exploration. The evening opened with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the school’s patron, Mrs. Meena Singh, followed by tributes to the late founder Ajit Kumar Singh, which lent an emotional tone to the gathering.
While the programme featured classical and choral performances such as Nrityanjali and Kalrav, the special attraction of the evening was a reimagined theatrical production of the fairytale Snow White, presented as “Snow White – Spectrum of Skills.”
The adaptation departed from the traditional storyline and instead focused on qualities such as empathy, teamwork, problem-solving, confidence and creativity. Featuring lively choreography, dramatic sequences, and songs including Heartless Dance, Deep in the Forest, and Heigh-Ho, the performance captivated the audience and received loud applause. Parents described it as the “most memorable moment of the evening,” applauding the young actors for their clarity, expression and stage command.
Beyond the stage, students from various clubs exhibited inventive projects, ranging from Madhubani paintings and tie-and-dye fabric to science and astronomy models, including a student-made electronic voting machine and a vacuum cleaner crafted from recycled elements, which drew special attention from the visitors. Creative displays such as “Best out of Waste” and gardening initiatives showcased efforts to encourage sustainability among young learners.
In her annual address, Principal Manisha Sinha highlighted the school’s academic progress and stressed the need for skill-based education in a rapidly changing world. Mrs. Meena Singh also spoke about the significance of adaptability and values within the education ecosystem.
The celebration left attendees with a strong message: education must evolve beyond textbooks to nurture creativity, resilience, and practical skills—qualities that were on full display throughout the evening, especially in the much-applauded Snow White – Spectrum of Skills.
