Patna, September 8, 2025: The auditorium of St. Xavier’s High School, Patna, came alive with energy, curiosity, and creativity as Jaano Junction hosted its flagship Citizen Townhall on the theme “Unlock You: Exploring Careers in Journalism, Media & the Creative Industry.”
The event brought together senior students for an interactive dialogue with industry voices, educators, and alumni — creating a vibrant platform where ideas, questions, and inspiration flowed freely.
A Day of Creativity and Discovery
Welcoming the gathering, Father Principal Fr. K. P. Dominic S.J. set the tone with words that resonated deeply with the students:
“Today’s day is dedicated to creativity and to express freely. As Jaano Junction has come to St. Xavier’s High School, it’s an opportunity for our students to jaano (to know) and make the best of this time to learn about media, journalism and the creative industry. We are proud to have CEO of Jaano Junction, Kshitij Choudhary, with us today. As a proud Xaverian and alumnus, he is an inspiration to our students — showing how one can reach heights.”
Homecoming with Humour and Heart
For Kshitij Choudhary, CEO of Jaano Junction and Xaverian (Batch of 2013), the day was an emotional homecoming. Starting off with a burst of school spirit, he playfully called out:
“Panthers give me a cheer! Lions give me a cheer! Tigers give me a cheer! Leopards give me a cheer!“
He then reflected:
“Before we dive into today’s conversations, it’s only right to begin by honouring the place that shaped so many of us. As a proud Xaverian, standing here feels like coming full circle. St. Xavier’s has always gone beyond academics — it’s where values, discipline, and curiosity are nurtured. I was lucky to be part of the Student Council, and even prouder to serve as Captain of the Panthers team. This very hall is where I won my first debate, and I’ll never forget spots like Baby Field and even the old Banyan Tree that once stood here.”
Adding a personal touch, he said, “Today is extra special because I’m here not just as CEO of Jaano Junction, but alongside my classmates and dear friends, Sanchit and Alaukik, who’ve been part of this journey since our school days.”
Interactive Sessions that Sparked Curiosity
The day unfolded with a fun workshop on “Escaping Pattern Thinking and Unlocking Creativity” led by Jaano Junction’s Apoorw, who used music and interactive games to warm up the students and set the stage for deeper conversations.
This was followed by the Live Podcast Session, featuring panelists Swadha Shankar (Producer, Firstpost – Network18) and Ankit Singh (Anchor & Producer, Jist News), along with Apoorw and Kshitij. Students enthusiastically engaged with the speakers, asking questions about journalism, digital media, and creative industries, receiving insights that bridged classroom learning with real-world experiences.
A Cultural High Note
The event concluded with an electrifying performance by Bihar-based rapper and Jaano Junction member Arinar Black, who performed his original track “Degrade.” The powerful lyrics and pulsating beats had the auditorium buzzing, leaving the students inspired and entertained.
Behind the Scenes and Gratitude
The event’s success was supported by many hands — with Sanchit Kr. Singh (Founder, Sanchit Photography) and his team capturing memorable moments, while Alaukik, Aman, Sanskar, and Anjali worked tirelessly on coordination and execution.
The formal Vote of Thanks was delivered by Vice Principal Mr. Amar Prakash, who expressed pride in the collaboration and gratitude for the enriching experience offered to the students.
A Platform for the Future
True to its tagline “Curiosity Meets Conversations,” the Citizen Townhall at St. Xavier’s celebrated dialogue, creativity, and the spirit of exploration — giving students not only clarity about careers in media and the creative industries but also the inspiration to follow their passions fearlessly.
