Ceasefire Confusion: Trump Agrees, White House Denies, Israel Attacks, Pakistan Failed; Iran Shuts Strait Of Hormuz Again

The ceasefire was declared by Pakistan, U.S. with Donald Trump publicly accepting the conditions of Iran in his truth social post. White House later denies, saying "President Trump rejected Iran's 10-point plan and discarded it". Iran shuts Strait of Hormuz as Israel continue to strike Lebanon, violating it's clause.

Iran's Speaker of the Parliament Ghalibaf releases a statement claiming that 3 clauses of their "10 point proposal" have been violated by the US and Israel. Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf says:

1. The first clause of the 10-point proposal has been violated regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon

2. The entry of a drone into Iranian airspace, was a "clear violation" of the clause prohibiting any further violation of Iran's airspace

3. The US' denial of Iran’s right to enrichment is a violation, which was included in sixth clause of the framework "Now, the very 'workable basis on which to negotiate' has been openly and clearly violated, even before the negotiations began," he says.

Earlier Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif posted on X about ceasefire agreement. U.S. recently denied agreeing with Iran's 10 point condition to open the Strait Of Hormuz. Israel meanwhile continues to strike Lebanon.

Iran states that the U.S. has violated the 3 clauses of the agreement.

This contradicts with what Donald Trump earlier posted on his Truth social that said "We received a 10 point proposal from Iran, and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate. Almost all of the various points of past contention have been agreed to between the United States and Iran, but a two week period will allow the Agreement to be finalized and consummated."

Earlier, Pakistan prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, also posted on X, "Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY." the post read.

Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed the ceasefire, with one statement that angered Iran; "We still have objectives to complete – and we will achieve them either by agreement or by resuming the fighting." he posted on X with a video message where claims; 'Lebanon as not part of the ceasefire agreement'.

A Reuters report states, 'on Wednesday ‌afternoon, at least five consecutive strikes rocked the capital Beirut, sending columns of smoke into the sky as Israel's military said it had launched the largest coordinated strike of the war. More than 100 Hezbollah command centres and military sites were targeted in Beirut, the Bekaa Valley and southern Lebanon within ten minutes, it said.'

According to Reuters' report, 'a total of 254 people were killed and over 1,100 wounded across Lebanon, the country's civil defense service said. The highest toll was in Beirut, where 91 people were killed. The health ministry gave a toll of 182 dead across the country and said it was not a final figure.'

Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez urged the EU to suspend its association agreement with Israel, hours after Israeli jets dropped 160 bombs on 100 Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, killing at least 182 people and wounding 890 according to Lebanon's Health Ministry.
