Scam: Make childless woman pregnant, get Rs 5 lakh: Bihar Police busted a unique scam

The fraudsters were running the scam under the guise of programs like 'All India Pregnant Job (Baby Birth Service)' and 'Playboy Service'. The gang has defrauded many people in several states across India.

Bihar Police busted a unique scam in which gullible men were promised Rs 5 lakh in exchange for making childless women pregnant. On Friday, police busted the gang and arrested three people, identified as Prince Raj, Bhola Kumar and Rahul Kumar, from Nawada district.

The fraudsters were running scam under the guise of programs like 'All India Pregnant Job (Baby Birth Service)' and 'Playboy Service', luring people through phone calls and extorting money.

The gang has defrauded many people in several states across India. The police are trying to ascertain the number of victims duped so far.

According to the police, the fraudsters reached out to people in different states over the phone or WhatsApp. The job was to successfully impregnate such women who were unable to bear a child. They promised to pay Rs 5 lakh in return, with a false assurance of an additional Rs 50,000 if the procedure failed.

After the victims expressed interest, the gang would subsequently demand registration fees ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 20,000 online.

The arrested accused were actively involved in luring people. The police have confiscated six smartphones from the arrested individuals.

After recovering incriminating evidence, including call logs, WhatsApp photos, audio recordings, and transaction details, the police have started mapping the gang's entire network.
