Rockstar Games has announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will begin on June 25, 2026. The pre-orders will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, covering both physical and digital editions.
The announcement marks the first major update from Rockstar since earlier promotional material, ending a period of limited communication around the highly anticipated title. Alongside the date, the company also released the game’s official cover art, continuing the franchise’s signature comic-panel visual style.
CEO Strauss Zelnick is quoted addressing pricing concerns, stating that consumers ultimately pay for the value delivered, emphasizing the company’s focus on creating a high-quality entertainment experience.
GTA 6 is expected to launch first on consoles, with a PC release likely to follow later, mirroring Rockstar’s previous release strategy.
The revealed cover art features the game’s dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia, set against a backdrop resembling a modern Vice City environment. Additional elements shown include vehicles, action scenes, and supporting characters, indicating a continuation of the series’ open-world, crime-driven narrative style.
The game is currently scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, after multiple delays. Industry projections suggest the title could generate billions in revenue shortly after launch, reflecting its global anticipation.
