“Another love story… Another heartbreak… but this time, it’s Saiyaara.”

Bollywood is back with its rain of love !!

Ever since the teaser dropped on YouTube, fans can't help but draw comparisons—melancholic melody, rain-soaked silhouettes, and heartbreak written all over the screen. Sounds familiar? That’s because Saiyaara is dripping with the same romantic tragedy vibes that once made Aashiqui 2 an anthem for every broken heart.

Aashiqui 2—a heartbreak classic for Gen Z, with top-notch music and unforgettable vocals by Palak Muchhal and Ankit Tiwari. The story of a singer and an ordinary girl who sings in cafes gave us all the stages of love to heartbreak. It was not just a film; it was a saga. A haunting ending we still aren’t over. And now the question is—is it back? In the form of Saiyaara?

Well, the answer came straight from the source. Mohit Suri—the magician behind both films—confirmed that Saiyaara did begin as a part of the Aashiqui series. But as the story unfolded, it evolved into something new. So yes, the déjà vu is real, but Saiyaara has its own soul.

“ A singer in love. Again he isn’t fighting the world—he’s battling the darkness within. All for love. All for her - LIKE AASHIQUI 2 DID ”

But this time with Saiyaara. Because some stories aren’t meant to end… and some heartbreaks never truly heal.

With Saiyaara on the horizon, the question isn’t just about love—it’s about redemption. Will this tale soothe the pain left by Aashiqui 2, or will it become another heartbreak of the decade?

People still haven’t recovered from Rahul Jayekar and Aarohi’s tragic goodbye. So are Krish Kapoor and Vanni ready to carry forward that haunting legacy? Will love rise again, or will the echoes of the past write the same sorrowful song?

Is this a declaration that the rom-com season is officially back? Whether it's Saiyaara or other upcoming Bollywood love stories, the fever of romance is high. The era of romance is breathing again—under the jacket of Rahul Jayekar, perhaps.

Is Love back in Bollywood or is it just short term?

With Mohit Suri returning to helm the heartbreak—and this time in collaboration with Yash Raj FilmsSaiyaara brings that old-school tragic romance right back to the spotlight. And if that wasn’t enough to get the tissues ready, debutante Ahaan Pandey and Aheet Padda are already making waves with their soulful presence and fresh chemistry.

And let’s talk about the music? Absolute fire. The teaser’s soundtrack gives major 2013 flashbacks, blending melody, pain, and passion into one smooth emotional ride.

So what is Saiyaara really?

A fresh love saga? Or Bollywood’s soft reboot of its most iconic heartbreak formula? We’ll find out soon enough—Saiyaara hits theatres on July 18, 2025.
Get your heart ready. This one’s going to ache.

Because it’s Mohit Suri’s saga.
