In a breathtaking display of power-hitting, Vamshhi Krrishna, the talented wicketkeeper opener from Andhra Pradesh, stole the spotlight by smashing six consecutive sixes off Railway‘s leg-spinner Damandeep Singh. The dazzling performance came during a thrilling encounter in the Col CK Nayudu U-23 Trophy‘s Elite Group D league match at ACA-YSRR stadium in Kadapa.

In the game, Andhra Pradesh won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a formidable score of 378 runs on the scoreboard in 93.5 overs. However, the standout moment of the game unfolded when opener Krrishna showcased a stunning display of power-hitting. He smashed Railway’s Damandeep for six sixes on the trot in an over, highlighting his aggressive intent on the way to a rapid 110-run innings off just 64 balls.

During the 10th over, bowled by Railways’ Damandeep, Krrishna showcased his prowess. He slog-swept the first ball, lofted the next two over the bowler and mid-on and completed his fifty. He further continued the onslaught with two more consecutive sixes. Damandeep’s attempt to pitch short the last ball was also dispatched for a six off the back foot over mid-wicket.

Andhra Pradesh’s total was further bolstered by significant contributions from captain Vamsi Krishna (55), Dharani Kumar (81) and Venkata Rahul (66 not out). For Railways, SR Kumar and MD Jaiswal picked three wicket each.

Railways faced a challenging task in response, finding themselves at 20/2 before a remarkable partnership between Ansh Yadav (268) and Ravi Singh (258) unfolded, amassing a colossal 420 runs for the third wicket. Anchit Yadav‘s impressive 133 and Toufik Uddin‘s 87 further solidified Railways’ innings, leading to a declaration at a formidable 865/9 in 231 overs. Two Andhra bowlers Vasu and Tripurana Vijay, both conceded over 200 runs, the match concluded as a draw, with Railways gaining more points due to their lead in the first innings.
