PATNA: Before Christmas the people of Patna experienced a delightful Christmas experience. Kokomojo Cafe, located at Boring Road locality, had organised ‘Christmas Flea Market’.

A three day affair, from 16th to 18th December, this Christmas Flea Market is a concept introduced in the café culture this winters. It is “One Stop Shop” where the guests could enjoy unique experience of both dine-in and shopping ambience over a weekend amidst Christmas.

Veer Vikram, owner of the cafe, opened up about the concept and idea with Jaano Junction.

We identified the local brands contributing successfully to our community. More-so, we found that women are at the helm of affairs. The foundation of the Christmas Flea Market instantly became sharing the success stories through ‘Vocal for Local’.

“Passionate about their start-ups, our Brand Partners displayed equal enthusiasm and vigour in showcasing their collection bringing in Christmas to Patna. We started the event in a joyful manner with ‘Flea House Musical’ with young talented artists performing extraordinarily for our wonderful audience resonating the Christmas fervour. We thank the ones who took out time to visit our flea Market and we request the others to support us with love and kindness when they visit us next Christmas. Kokomojo has always believed in introducing something out of the box to the city. Hang on for another surprise from us!”, he added.

Multiple Panta & Bihar based StartUps could be seen showcasing their products at the Christmas Flea Market.

From home decor to organic tea, from art & sculptors to organic fresh farm produces, the ‘market’ had a range of products and services to shop from while sipping the coffee and enjoying the live music and ambience of the cafe.

Ankita Raj, artist and founder of LaPintura studio, one of the exhibitors at the flea market, said, “we love the cause and we love the place. I think together we’re trying to make a difference which will show. The concept is new to Patna and we’re doing what is necessary. Patna is evolving so it needs to support homegrown brands in order to achieve bigger things. We’re part of the process and we love it.”

After two years of lockdown and lockdown-like situations, the Winter of 2022 is seeing a boost in the celebrations and festivities. The shops are returning and people are spending more on their happiness and experiences.
