Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel is quietly building new regional alliances to counter Iran, signalling a shift toward broader cooperation as the conflict reshapes the Middle East.

In an address on Tuesday, Netanyahu said Israel is forging ties with “important countries in the region” to confront what he called the “Iranian threat.”

“We are creating new alliances with important countries in the region,” he said, without naming the countries involved. “Soon, I will be able to tell you more about these important pacts.”

Netanyahu’s remarks point to a deepening alignment between Israel and parts of the Arab world, driven by shared concerns over Iran’s military and nuclear ambitions.

He framed the outreach as part of a broader strategy following what he described as major battlefield gains. “We hit hard and distanced two existential threats,” Netanyahu said, referring to Iran’s nuclear programme and its ballistic missile capabilities.

The Israeli leader claimed that recent operations had significantly weakened Iran’s ability to develop weapons. “We removed from upon us the immediate threat of Iran arming itself with a nuclear weapon and many ballistic missiles,” he said, referring to earlier strikes.

He added that ongoing operations had further degraded Iran’s industrial capacity to produce such weapons. “We brought a complementary achievement, by smashing the industrial capability of the regime to produce these tools of destruction,” Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu also suggested that Iran’s broader regional influence had been curtailed, claiming that Hezbollah no longer poses “a strategic threat” to Israel.

He went further, predicting long-term change in Tehran. “Sooner or later, the Iranian regime will fall,” he said.
