Hollywood filmmaker Zack Snyder has once again shown his admiration for Huma Qureshi, calling her one of the most amazing actors he has worked with. The two collaborated on the 2021 Netflix release Army of the Dead, which also marked Huma’s Hollywood debut.
Taking to Instagram, Snyder shared a picture and praised the Bollywood actor for her talent, screen presence and performance. His post quickly drew attention from fans, and Huma responded in her usual warm style, replying with a cheerful message for the filmmaker. Filmmaker Farah Khan also joined the conversation and reacted to Zack’s post with excitement.
Snyder’s praise is not new. He had spoken about Huma back in 2021, during the release of Army of the Dead, and had said that her character was always written as Indian. He had also shared that once he saw her work, he felt she was an amazing actress and was glad she agreed to do the film. Snyder had even said that Huma’s energy on set was so strong that she joked she would now want only Indian actors in her films.
Army of the Dead, directed by Zack Snyder, is set in a zombie-hit Las Vegas and follows a group hired to recover $200 million from the quarantine zone. The film featured Dave Bautista in the lead, along with a large ensemble cast including Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tig Notaro and others. Huma played a key supporting role in the high-profile action film.
The online response to Snyder’s post has been positive, with fans appreciating the filmmaker’s continued recognition of Huma’s work. For many, it also served as a reminder of how strongly she stood out in her international debut and how well she was received by one of Hollywood’s most popular genre filmmakers.
