Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has suffered a muscular injury while filming high-intensity action scenes for his upcoming movie King at Golden Tobacco Studio in Mumbai, as per a report by Bollywood Hungama. Following the accident, he was immediately flown to the United States for medical treatment.
Sources close to the actor say that while the injury isn’t critical, it’s related to muscle strain, possibly worsened by his past stunt-related injuries. “It’s nothing major, but Shah Rukh has hurt multiple muscles over the years. This was another instance of that, and doctors have advised him to take proper rest,” the source said.
SRK is expected to be on a one-month break and will likely return to the set around September or October once he fully recovers.
About 'King':
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is releasing next year and features a massive star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, and more. The film marks the big-screen debut of Suhana Khan, who will be sharing screen space with her father for the first time.
In the film, Shah Rukh plays a powerful don, while Suhana takes on the role of his protégée. IMDb describes the plot as a mentor and disciple navigating life-threatening challenges in harsh environments.
Conclusion:
While Shah Rukh’s injury has temporarily halted filming, his fans can expect him to bounce back soon. The team behind King is now adjusting the schedule, with shooting likely to resume once SRK recovers and returns with full energy.
