Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most awaited movies and if looks like the makers are planning to make it even more interesting and exciting. Reportedly, the makers are now planning to lock a big Bollywood actor for the Allu Arjun starrer.
If a report by Siasat is to be believed, Sanjay Dutt might play a cameo role in Pushpa 2. Reportedly, the actor is likely to play an “influencial figure” in the Sukumar directorial and will add “an extra layer to any storyline.” However, it should also be noted that there is no official confirmation regarding this as of now.
Interestingly, this comes months after a report by E-Times claimed Pushpa director Sukumar has decided to include ‘one major Bollywood A-lister for Pushpa 2.
Previously, reports of Manoj Bajpayee being approached for Pushpa 2 also made headlines. However, when News18 Showsha reached out to the actor, he denied the reports and called them ‘false’. “No truth! False news! That’s all I can say!” he had said.
Released in 2021, Pushpa: The Rise was written and directed by Sukumar. The film turned out to be a blockbuster and ruled the box office. The last leg of shooting for Pushpa 2 is currently underway. In November 2023, the shoot was halted for a couple of weeks due to Allu Arjun’s health issues but it was resumed later.
Last year, Allu Arjun shared his first-look poster of Pushpa 2 in which he was seen dressed in a saree with his face painted in shades of blue and red. Later, the look poster of Fahadh Faasil from the movie was also released. Fans are now waiting for Rashmika Mandanna’s look poster.
Recently, Rashmika Mandanna also teased Pushpa 2 and shared that the film will be “bigger” than ever. “I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that. I just shot for a song for Pushpa 2 and I was just like, ‘How are you guys thinking about this?’ Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun,” she told Pinkvilla.
Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit theatres on August 15, 2024.
