The official trailer of Ramayana, director Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation of the Indian epic, was released on Thursday, offering audiences their first detailed look at the film's principal characters. The trailer features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Yash as Ravana.
Among those reacting to the trailer was National Award-winning actor Rishab Shetty, who shared his appreciation for the film and its cast in a post on X. Congratulating director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, Shetty said presenting characters from Indian epics is a challenging task, as audiences have grown up with their own interpretations of these stories.
He reserved special praise for Yash's performance as Ravana, stating that the actor brought remarkable intensity and conviction to the role. Shetty wrote that he could not imagine anyone else doing justice to the character and added that, as a fellow Kannadiga, Yash had once again made the community proud. He also commended Ranbir Kapoor's portrayal of Lord Rama, saying the actor successfully conveyed the character's aura and divinity.
