Kanye West Concert|Fans who had been gearing up for what promised to be one of the biggest international shows in Delhi this spring will have to wait a little longer. Organisers confirmed that the stadium concert originally slated for March 29 has been moved to May 23, citing “the prevailing geopolitical situation and regional tensions” as the reason for the postponement.
The venue for the event was to be the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital, and organisers have said that all tickets already sold will remain valid for the rescheduled date there’s no word yet on refunds.
The announcement arrives after a rash of online rumours in recent days about a possible cancellation, fan groups and several outlets moved quickly to check the facts, and organisers’ statements appear to be the official word for now.
Social media discussions have attempted to link the postponement with Ye's scheduled events especially his upcoming album "Bully" which is expected to release in late March but currently lacks official links to the two events. The public speculates about the postponed show because it involves notable performers while the organizers state that security and logistics matters account for their schedule changes.
Official ticketing channels and the promoter's social accounts will provide updates about travel advisory information and production status changes and support act announcements. The concert schedule in Delhi will now include Ye's first performance which has been rescheduled to late May and this will allow thousands of fans to attend the concert although the timing has changed.
