A bizarre clip has taken social media by storm, showing a food delivery rider encountering an eerie request at night. In the video, the agent reaches the drop-off location and calls the customer. When the rider realizes the destination is a cemetery, he balks: “Graveyard?! Ma’am, it’s completely dark in there… I’m not going inside.” The customer calmly insists he step inside the gate to hand over the order. At one point she even claims she is “partying with friends” among the tombstones, prompting the stunned rider to ask incredulously, “Do people actually order food to graveyards?”. Undeterred, the woman taunts him, “Are you afraid of ghosts?” as he repeats that he’ll have to cancel the order if she won’t collect it at the entrance. The clip ends there; neither the driver nor the woman identifies themselves.
Jaano Junction could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
A moonlit cemetery at night. The driver in the video can be seen frozen just outside the graves, his bike’s headlight beam cutting through darkness. In the clip he pleads with the customer, “Ma’am, it’s completely dark in there…” and refuses to enter. Many viewers pointed out how surreal the setting is, a delivery man handing biryani to a woman partying inside a spooky graveyard even quipping that the whole exchange looks exaggerated and almost staged. As one user joked in disbelief, the woman’s nerve was straight out of Stranger Things, tweeting “STRANGER THINGS HAPPENING” over the clip.
For many, the video struck a chord about gig-worker safety and respect. “People often forget that delivery agents are human beings, not robots,” one viewer commented. He praised the rider’s decision to refuse entry, saying it was “completely unrealistic” to expect anyone to deliver food in such conditions, and that protecting his “safety and peace of mind” was entirely justified. Another user questioned the motives of the people who filmed the stunt:
“What is seriously wrong with these content creators? … You may have created a lifelong impact on him, just for content and views. Just imagine if it was you or your loved one in that situation.”
Others seized on the delivery worker’s fear to highlight risks drivers face on late-night shifts. Several urged customers to remember that couriers aren’t “robots,” and warned that pranks like this can cause mental pressure and lasting trauma for the unsuspecting worker.
A vocal majority online believes the entire scene is a staged prank, users claimed that the video was scripted for social media likes.” One commenter wrote: “This is clearly a prank,” pointing out “there is absolutely no chance that the woman was that calm while sitting in a graveyard” even with friends. Another wrote, “How is this okay? … It’s disrespectful and can have serious consequences,” calling out anyone who would turn a graveyard into a content set.
So far no delivery platform or police department has identified the people involved. Whether genuine or fabricated, experts say the viral moment underscores the need for respect and clear boundaries.
