Patna, 2nd August 2026: Radiant International School successfully concluded the three-day India's International Movement to Unite Nations (IIMUN) Patna Conference on 2 August 2026, bringing together nearly 1,200 delegates from more than 50 schools across Patna and neighbouring cities. One of the largest student-led diplomatic conferences in the region, the event gave students an opportunity to discuss important national and global issues while developing confidence, leadership and communication skills.
Over three days, students took on the roles of legislators, diplomats and policymakers across committees including the Bihar Legislative Assembly (BLA), Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister's Special Committee (PMSS), All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM), United Nations Security Council (UNSC), United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM), and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). They debated issues ranging from climate action and international peace to public policy, humanitarian concerns, nuclear safety and sustainable development, presenting their views through research, speeches, negotiations and discussions.
For Radiant International School, the conference reflected its focus on learning beyond the classroom. Students not only improved their public speaking and leadership skills but also learnt the importance of teamwork, critical thinking, negotiation and respectful dialogue. The experience encouraged them to understand different perspectives and develop a stronger sense of responsibility as informed and responsible global citizens.
The valedictory ceremony recognised the outstanding performances of the delegates. The top three participants from each committee were presented with Medals and Certificates of Excellence for their research, debating skills, diplomacy and leadership. Every delegate also received a Certificate of Participation in recognition of their active involvement throughout the conference.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Ms. Manisha Sinha congratulated the delegates for their dedication and maturity in discussing complex issues. She also appreciated the efforts of the Executive Board members, teachers, organising committee, volunteers and partner schools for making the IIMUN Patna Chapter a success. She said such platforms help students become confident communicators, ethical leaders and compassionate global citizens.
The conference concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, bringing three days of debate, discussion and learning to a close. More than just a competition, the event encouraged students to think beyond textbooks, appreciate different viewpoints and understand the value of dialogue, cooperation and responsible leadership.
