Famous YouTuber and BJP leader Manish Kashyap on Monday, had an altercation with junior doctors at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), after which they allegedly locked him in a room and beat him. Kashyap later posted photos from a hospital bed on social media, claiming he is undergoing treatment.

Kashyap had visited the hospital in the afternoon to plead for a patient. During his visit, he allegedly got into a dispute with a female junior doctor.

The situation intensified when Kashyap began recording videos within the hospital premises regarding the matter, which angered the junior doctors on duty. Consequently, they locked him inside a room for about three hours. They also allegedly physically assaulted him, leading to injuries.

According to sources, the doctors were enraged over what they described as Kashyap's misbehaviour with the female colleague, leading to the altercation.

While junior doctors have alleged misconduct by Kashyap toward the female doctor, the YouTuber’s supporters claim he was unjustly held hostage and assaulted.

However, an associate of Manish Kashyap hushed up the whole matter and said that no incident of any kind happened with him in the hospital.

Pirbahor Police Station in-charge, Abdul Haleem, confirmed that the police intervened and that both sides claimed to have resolved the matter among themselves. No official complaint has been filed by either party, according to the police.
