Days after the nation witnessed a massive drama at India’s AI Summit in the national capital, the Delhi police on Tuesday arrested Youth Congress president Uday Bhanu Chib. The police have termed the Youth Congress chief as the mastermind of the protest.

Chib was summoned by the Delhi Police to the Tilak Marg police station for questioning on Monday. According to sources, the Congress leader is likely to be produced in court.

As per the police, Uday Bhanu Chib possessed all the information regarding the protest and played a key role in planning the protest. During the interrogation, Uday Bhanu did not cooperate with the police. He either evaded most of the questions or attempted to evade them.

According to Congress MP Sasikanth Senthil, Chib was picked up by Delhi Police at around 4:30 am and has been in police custody for nearly 20 hours.

BJP Slams Congress

Meanwhile, BJP leader Pradeep Bhandari also confirmed the arrest, slamming Congress over their anti-India and anti-growth propaganda.

Taking to X, Bhandari wrote, “Rahul Gandhi’s BABBAR ANTI INDIA “SHER" ARRESTED! Youth Congress chief Uday Bhanu arrested after 15 hours of questioning in the NAKED Anti-India PROTEST At World AI Summit!"

“Youth of India hates ‘NANGI’ Congress! Babbar Sher will get “Babbar" treatment in jail! Congress is Anti-India, Anti-growth!" he added.

IYC ‘Shirtless’ Protest At AI Summit

The members of the Indian Youth Congress staged a protest at the Bharat Mandapam venue of the Al Impact India Summit in the national capital by removing their shirts with slogans that read, “Compromised PM", as a mark of dissent.

In a statement, the Indian Youth Congress said its workers were protesting against a “compromised Prime Minister who has traded the identity of the country at the AI Summit."

Meanwhile, BJP workers held protests across multiple states against the Congress as the party demanded that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi should apologise.
