Another student has levelled shocking allegations against Kolkata rape accused Monojit Mishra and alleged that he used to mentally torture students and physically assault them.
"Whoever speaks against ex-students gets tortured. Some are mentally tortured, and those who still don't get scared are physically assaulted," the student told media.
According to the student, his friend was even kidnapped and later found lying in a pool of blood. "One of my friends was repeatedly targeted by him...We were stepping out of class, his goons tried to kidnap my friend and hit us," the student said.
The attackers allegedly issued a grave warning: 'If they or anyone from their circle dared to speak out, they would be killed next time.'
"My friend and I were mentally tortured. My friend was physically tortured, attacked with a blade and sticks, and we were threatened by him with videos of the assault."
The student said that he and his friend had not attended college for the past ten months due to the constant fear and trauma.
On June 28, Monojit Mishra, along with two others, was arrested for allegedly raping a woman student of the South Calcutta Law College, a day after the survivor filed a police complaint against them.
The complainant alleged that Mishra, who had previously proposed to her for marriage, which she rejected, raped her while the other two students watched.
Following the allegations and subsequent revelations, the West Bengal Bar Council on Wednesday revoked Mishra's licence, barring him from practising law.
