The results for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 are set to be announced tomorrow, February 8, following weeks of campaigning and a single-phase voting process in the national capital. The contest saw a three-way battle between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Congress, with 699 candidates vying for seats across 70 assembly constituencies.

Exit polls released on Wednesday forecast a landslide victory for the BJP, with AAP expected to fall short of a majority and Congress predicted to secure only 1-2 seats.

With vote counting scheduled to begin tomorrow morning, here’s everything you need to know about the Delhi Election 2025 results.

Counting Date and Time
Vote counting will commence at 7 am on Saturday, February 8, and is expected to conclude by 6 pm. Early trends and seat-wise winners will be declared throughout the day. Although Delhi has over 1.5 crore registered voters, the final voter turnout in the capital stood at 60.42 percent, according to Election Commission data at 11:30 pm on Wednesday.

Key Seats and Candidates to Watch

  • New Delhi: All eyes are on the New Delhi constituency, where a three-way contest is underway featuring AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal, BJP’s Parvesh Verma, and Congress’ Sandeep Dikshit. Kejriwal, who banked on the party’s welfare schemes in previous polls and won by a significant margin, currently holds the New Delhi seat.

  • Kalkaji: The Kalkaji seat is expected to witness fierce competition among the three parties. It remains a stronghold for Chief Minister Atishi, with both AAP and Congress fielding female candidates – Atishi and Alka Lamba, respectively – while BJP has nominated Ramesh Bidhuri.

  • Jangpura: An AAP stronghold, Jangpura sees senior leader Manish Sisodia contesting this seat, after previously contesting from Patparganj. He faces BJP’s Tarvinder Singh Marwah and Congress’s Farhad Suri.

  • Okhla: For the third consecutive time, AAP has fielded Amanatullah Khan in the Okhla assembly seat, where he previously won in 2020 and 2015. Khan is contesting against Congress leader Ariba Khan, BJP’s Firdos Alam, and AIMIM’s Shifa Ur Rehman.

  • Malviya Nagar: AAP leader Somnath Bharti, who won the Malviya Nagar seat in the last two elections, is contesting again. The constituency, a stronghold for AAP, sees him pitted against BJP’s Satish Upadhyay and Congress’s Jitendra Kumar Kochar.
