Woman finds dead cockroach in Ramen, shares 'horrific experience', Zomato reacts

JJ News Desk

In a shocking incident, Sonai Acharya, a resident of Agartala, faced a disgusting thing when she ordered a bowl of Japanese ramen from Auntie Fug's through the food delivery platform Zomato. Her anticipation for a delightful meal turned into a nightmare as she discovered a dead cockroach in the noodles in her miso ramen. The company has responded to the post as well.

Acharya described the incident as a "horrific experience." The images she shared clearly displayed the cockroach lying in her food. In her post, Acharya condemned the lack of quality control that allowed such an incident to occur, labelling the oversight as "absolutely unacceptable and disgusting."

“Just had a horrific experience ordering from @Zomato. Ordered Japanese miso ramen chicken from Auntie Fug's and found a cockroach in my meal! Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting Seriously disappointed with the quality control here,” reads the caption.

The response from Zomato came swiftly after Acharya's complaint gained attention. The company expressed regret over the incident and assured her that they would investigate the matter thoroughly.

“Hi there, we are sorry to hear about the unfortunate incident. We want to help turn this experience around. Please allow us some time to look into, we'll get back to you ASAP,” Zomato wrote.

The incident is another disturbing addition to the rising cases of tainted meals provided by food delivery apps.
