Someone in Kolkata ordered 125 items at once on New Year's Eve. Zomato CEO reacts

JJ News Desk

Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has posted about a party in Kolkata where someone ordered 125 items at once. Read that again if you may but this is true. So much so that Goyal said in his post on X on December 31 that he “really wanted” to attend this particular party in the West Bengal capital.

Now, while responding to an X user in the comments section of this post, Goyal mentioned that the order contained 125 ‘rumali rotis’.

“Really want to attend the party in Kolkata – where someone just ordered 125 items in a single order,” Goyal said in his post.

Soon after, an X user named Yash Desai asked Goyal in the comments section, “How many drivers will be picking up that order?”

Seems like Yash’s response prompted Goyal to enquire about this as he replied, saying: “1 delivery partner (just checked - all 125 are rumali rotis).”

Take a look at Zomato’s funny response to Goyal’s post:

Okay, then!

Meanwhile, Deepinder Goyal also shared statistics of several Zomato orders on New Year’s eve. For example, this: “No other state is getting as many orders from outside India as Maharashtra.” He also mentioned in a separate post that Zomato hit an “all-time high orders in a day” this New Year’s eve.

“Immense gratitude to all. Really thankful to all our delivery partners and restaurant partners who made this possible,” he said.
