After a string of allegations of sexual assault and forced conversion surfaced from women employees at TCS’s Nashik branch, a male colleague has claimed he was made to wear a skullcap and offer namaz. He further alleged that one of the accused told him to “send his wife” if he wanted a child.
Narrating his ordeal to India Today, the man alleged that his team leaders made him offer namaz, recite the kalma, and wear a skullcap. The harassment, he said, crossed all limits when one of the accused mocked his personal life, suggesting he “send his wife” if he wanted a child despite medical treatment.
According to the man, the harassment began in 2022, shortly after he joined the company. His team leader, Tausif Attar, along with colleague Danish Sheikh, allegedly began targeting him. Being in a position of authority, Tausif allegedly forced the victim to comply with all instructions and burdened him with extra work, including tasks belonging to others, to keep him exhausted.
Both Danish and Tausif have already been named in an FIR filed by a 23-year-old employee at TCS Nashik, in which she alleged that Danish tried to forcibly kiss her and wanted to marry her. She also alleged that Danish’s associates, Tausif and HR executive Nida Khan, made objectionable remarks about deities and attempted to influence her religious beliefs.
They have been arrested along with five other male accused and two female accused. The police have registered nine cases based on complaints received from several women employees at the Nashik branch of the IT giant.
In his account to India Today, the man, a devout Hindu and follower of Ramdas Swami who regularly wears a rudraksha mala, said his religious identity became a point of contention. He alleged that his colleagues frequently mocked Hindu beliefs, questioned the existence of Hindu gods, and made derogatory remarks about religious figures and revered personalities from Maharashtra.
The harassment was not limited to verbal abuse. The victim alleged that he was taken to hotels after night shifts and pressured into eating non-vegetarian food despite being a strict vegetarian. When he refused, his beliefs were mocked.
He further alleged that on Eid in 2023, Tausif took him to his home, made him wear a religious cap, forced him to offer namaz, and took photographs which were later shared in the company’s official group to humiliate him.
The man also claimed that the accused targeted his personal life, mocking the fact that he and his wife had no children despite years of marriage. He alleged that they made deeply offensive remarks suggesting he send his wife to them if he wanted a child.
The situation escalated when the victim protested, leading to a confrontation at the workplace. He alleged that Tausif threw a table fan at him and threatened to kill him.
He further accused the group, including Tausif, Danish, Shah Rukh, and Raza Memon, of making inappropriate remarks about female employees and targeting them as well. He also claimed that when his father suffered a paralytic attack, the accused told him that his father would recover if he converted to Islam.
After he stopped complying with their demands, the victim alleged that false complaints were filed against him with the head office in an attempt to get him dismissed. He said the harassment continued from 2022 until March 23, 2026.
According to the victim, the accused initially built a friendly relationship with him before revealing their intent. He alleged that he was repeatedly pressured to convert his religion, including being forced to recite the kalma and remove his rudraksha mala.
He claims that the aim was to mentally break him so that he would agree to convert. When he resisted, he was deliberately targeted and provoked at work.
