Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday, seeking to bridge caste divisions within the Hindu community, called for greater social harmony by embracing the principle of "one temple, one well, and one cremation ground" for all.

Currently on a five-day visit to Aligarh, the RSS chief addressed 'swayamsevaks' at two separate 'shakhas' held at HB Inter College and Panchan Nagri Park. He stressed that true social unity is essential for India to fulfil its global responsibility as a messenger of peace.

According to RSS sources, Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the importance of 'sanskar' (values) as the foundation of Hindu society, urging members to build a community rooted in tradition, cultural values, and moral principles.

He encouraged swayamsevaks to actively reach out to all sections of society and welcome them into their homes to promote unity and harmony at the grassroots level.

The RSS chief also stated that the role of the family remains the fundamental unit of society and strong family values are derived from 'sanskar'. He also encouraged the collective celebration of festivals to further bolster nationalism and social cohesion.

Mohan Bhagwat’s visit, which began on April 17, includes daily meetings with RSS pracharaks from the Braj region. The visit is part of the organisation’s preparations for its centenary celebrations, which are set to begin on Vijayadashami this year.
