Former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash Found Dead At Bengaluru Home, Murder Suspected

As per the preliminary investigation, Prakash, whose dead body was found at his residence in the HSR layout area, is suspected to have been murdered by his wife, Pallavi.

Ex-DGP found dead: Former Director General of Police (DGP) of Karnataka, Om Prakash, was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Bengaluru on Sunday.

As per the preliminary investigation, Prakash, whose dead body was found at his residence in the HSR layout area, is suspected to have been murdered by his wife, Pallavi. The police found stab wounds and injuries on retired DGP’s body.

The HSR Layout police reached the spot upon receiving the information. The body has been sent for autopsy, and further investigation is underway.

The tragic death of the former DGP has sent a wave of grief in the police department and his acquaintances.

The 68-year-old 1981 batch IPS officer, served as state DGP from 2015-17. He was a native of Champaran in Bihar and held an MSc in Geology.
