A 19-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida was arrested on charges of abducting a Class 12 girl right before she was to enter the premises of her school. The incident happened in Sector 53 on Wednesday and was caught on a CCTV camera.
It came to light after a school official informed Sector 24 police that the accused had forcibly taken a student in his car.
The video showed a group of students approaching their school, while a man, later identified as Monu Yadav, could be seen waiting outside the gate, next to a white car, which bore UP’s registration number.
Moments later, a girl could be seen stopping by to speak to the man, as they appeared to know each other.
As other students kept passing by, Monu Yadav could be seen forcing the girl to sit in the car, as she appeared to be resisting.

According to the police, the girl was rescued in less than two hours, the accused was arrested, and his car was seized.
The accused is a former student at the school and was expelled due to poor attendance, it was known.
A case against him was filed under Section 137(2) (kidnapping) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
In another incident, a court in Noida sentenced a man to a life term, convicting him of raping a seven-year-old girl in 2017.
Additional Sessions Judge Vikas Nagar of the POCSO Court convicted Samayveer on Monday, and also fined him Rs 50,000 as part of the punishment, Special Public Prosecutor JP Bhati said.
In 2017, Samayveer abducted the girl while she was playing outside her house and took her to a field and raped her, he said.
