Delhi Woman Allegedly Gang-Raped After Her Drink Spiked During Party At Friend's Residence

A 24-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by a group of people in the Civil Lines area on Sunday night in the national capital. The police have recorded the victim’s statements, and a medical examination has also been conducted. The police are checking CCTV footage to identify and trace the accused, said Delhi Police.

The incident took place on Sunday night after the girl was invited to a party at a friend’s place. The victim alleged that when she arrived at her friend’s house, she found four men at the house in addition to her friend. She claimed that something was mixed into her drink that made her fall unconscious.

She alleged in her complaint that the group then took her to the bathroom, where the men gang-raped her and recorded a video of the act.

The Police stated that the victim visited the location with her sister and filed the complaint nearly 13-14 hours after the assault. Authorities confirmed that the incident is under investigation and all facts are being verified before further action is taken.

“The accused are currently being traced, and CCTV footage is being analysed to identify them," they added.
