Delhi cop shot dead on flyover, suspect kills himself

A Delhi Police officer was shot dead by a gunman who went on a shooting rampage on a busy flyover before turning the gun on himself.

A Delhi Police officer was shot dead after a person started firing indiscriminately on a busy flyover before turning the gun on himself. A third person sustained a bullet injury and is undergoing treatment in a hospital.

The victim, identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Dinesh Sharma posted in the Special Branch of Delhi Police, was travelling on his motorcycle when a bullet hit his chest. He was rushed to the GTB Hospital, but he was declared brought dead.

Amit Kumar, a 30-year-old who was also travelling on the flyover on his two-wheeler, sustained a bullet injury on his waist.

Mukesh then shot himself on the head while sitting inside the auto-rickshaw.
