JJ News Desk

A woman found a cockroach in a meal that was served to her at a hotel in Bengaluru on Thursday. The woman, who is a lawyer, also accused the hotel staff of abusing, threatening and harassing her.

"A lawyer lodged a complaint with the Vidhana Soudha police station yesterday after having lunch at a private hotel. The incident occurred around 3 pm, when the lawyer found a cockroach in her meal (paneer gravy). She promptly contacted the police and the food inspector. She then began recording a video with her mobile phone in the kitchen, capturing the meal preparation when the hotel staff allegedly dragged, pushed, and threatened her," a senior police official said.

Based on the woman's complaint, police have registered a case against two members of the hotel and an investigation is currently underway.
