Chaos erupted after a biryani seller in north Delhi's Jahangirpuri was found serving biryani on disposable plates featuring a photo of Lord Ram.
The matter came to light on Sunday when local Hindu organisations noticed Lord Ram's photo on the plates kept at the biryani shop.
They questioned the vendor on the issue and saw people being served biryani on the plates which were also being discarded in the trash after use.
Police were called to the scene and a packet of four plates featuring Lord Ram's photo was recovered.
Further investigation is underway.
