A minor in Tamil Nadu's Madurai was allegedly murdered after she was sexually assaulted by her aunt and uncle, an officer in the Indian Army. The incident happened on March 22 and was reported after the aunt of the 11-year-old took her to a hospital.

Later, she began living with her uncle and aunt.

On the said date, the child, who was brought to the hospital in an unconscious condition, was declared dead by the doctors at the hospital.

As the investigations into the case progressed, the police found that the uncle of the child had assaulted her.

Meanwhile, the police charged the couple under the Pocso Act and arrested the two.
