Iranian missiles have struck Batelco headquarters in Bahrain’s Hamala on Wednesday (Apr 1). This is the largest telecommunications company in the country, which hosts Amazon Web Services. The attack comes after Tehran said it would strike US companies; from the looks of it Amazon seen to be the first to be targeted. A week ago, Amazon Web Services in Bahrain and the UAE was "disrupted" due to the ongoing West Asia war. It was the second time in a month the operation was impacted. Speaking to news agency Reuters, an Amazon spokesperson said that the drone activity in the region caused the disruption. The aerial strikes in the area have caused structural damage and power failures at several data centres.
In a statement issued earlier, the tech giant said, “As this situation evolves and, as we have advised before, we request those with workloads in the affected regions continue to migrate to other locations.”
As US and Israel continue their strikes in Iran in the bid to decapitate the current regime, the country has lost prominent leaders. From supreme leader Ali Khamenei,Navy Chief Alireza Tangsiri, Basij Unit chief Gholamreza Soleimani, and IRGC spokesperson Ali Mohammad Naeini. The regime stated on Tuesday (Mar 31) that would target US tech giants if any more leaders were killed.
