As he begins his journey in India, McCaffrey expressed his excitement and enthusiasm for his new position. With a traditional ‘Namaste’, he said, "I am thrilled to be starting my posting as Deputy High Commissioner working with our excellent High Commissioner Philip Green.” His warm approach and use of the Hindi language, starting his message with "Namaste India," reflects his eagerness to connect with the people and the culture of the country he will be serving in.

McCaffrey steps into the shoes of Sarah Storey, ready to build upon the work she has done. He looks forward to collaborating with the team at the Australian High Commission in India, stating, “Terrific to start as Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner in India, replacing the irrepressible Sarah Storey.
