Much celebrated Bollywood star-couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor has finally named their newly born daughter –"Raha"
The name "Raha" is given by baby's grand-mother Neetu Kapoor.
Alia Bhatt shared the news through a heart-melting Instagram post, where she is seen holding her baby with hubby Ranbir. On the opposite wall, there is a baby-sized Barça football jersey that bears the baby's name Raha. Along with the pic, Alia shared a caption that wrote:
The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! ❤️ Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️Alia Bhatt
Ever since the post, the entertainment industry, social media and fans all across the globe are showering wishes and love to the couple.
Their daughter instantly became if talk of the town (read nation) and all the fans and family started pouring out wishes for them. An immediate discussion that followed was 'what would they name her?"
Some reports said that her name will be a tribute to her grandfather and legendary actor Rishi Kapoor. In a viral clip of a reality show, Alia Bhatt had said that if she has a daughter, she will name her Alma. Fortunately, all speculations were put to rest as baby's grandmaa Neetu Kapoor named her Raha.
The couple was recently seen together in the blockbuster movie Brahmastra – a Dharma production and Ayan Mukerji directed film – while shooting of which their entire love story is told to have originated. Even before the release of the movie, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married and on November 8, they were blessed by a baby girl.
