Actor Sonam Kapoor announced her second pregnancy on Thursday, sharing the happy news with a series of stylish photos on Instagram. The Bollywood star and fashion icon revealed her baby bump alongside the caption, "MOTHER." The actor chose to disable the comments section on her announcement post.

For the announcement, Sonam channelled Princess Diana, opting for a striking hot-pink pure wool suit featuring oversized padded shoulders and a softly curved shoulder line. The ensemble closely mirrors several iconic looks once worn by the late Princess.

Sonam and her husband, Anand Ahuja, welcomed their first child, son Vayu, in 2022.

The actor was last seen in the 2023 film 'Blind'. She has been away from the movies after the birth of her first child. However, she's been attending public events, hosting soirees at her place for her industry friends and colleagues, and making the best of this break from work.

The 40-year-old got married to Ahuja in an intimate Punjabi wedding ceremony in May 2018. The couple spends most of their time in their UK home, followed by Delhi and Mumbai.

Sonam debuted in the film industry with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Saawariya' in 2007. She later appeared in movies like 'Delhi 6' (2009), 'Aisha' (2010), 'Raanjhanaa' (2013), 'Khoobsurat' (2014), 'Dolly Ki Doli' (2015), and 'Veere Di Wedding' (2018), among others.
