Actor Brad Pitt's Los Angeles home was burgled while he was away on a global promotion tour for his film 'F1'. The Los Angeles police is probing the incident, according to law enforcement sources.

The break-in was orchestrated while Pitt was not at home, reports NBC news.

As per the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a reported break-in late Wednesday evening at a residence on North Edgemont Street, situated within LA's Los Feliz neighborhood. However, Officer Drake Madison in his statement to the Associated Press (AP) mentioned that he could not immediately identify the house owner when the burglary took place.

Pitt bought the home for $5.5 million in April 2023, reported AP. On Monday, he marked his presence at the London premiere of Joseph Kosinski's 'F1'.

NBC News attributed sources claiming three unidentified people had climbed over the front fence of the house and broken-in through the front window. Pitt's house was ransacked, but the items stolen during the burglary have not yet been disclosed.

Police officials have stated that the burglars took an unknown amount of miscellaneous property.

This is the latest in a series of such burglaries targeting high-profile LA neighbourhoods. In February 2025, actor Nicole Kidman and her musician husband Keith Urban's residence was also burgled.

Kidman and Urban's mansion in Beverly Hills was reportedly broken into during the weekend, with the intruder gaining entry by smashing a glass window. Details about what, if anything, was stolen from their $4.7 million mansion remain unclear, according to TMZ.

Pitt's representatives have declined to react to the burglary at his LA residence. The actor has also not yet issued any official statement as he is seen engaging with the media for the promotion of his movie 'F1'.

'F1' releases on June 27, 2025, globally.
