Carlos Alcaraz, a 20-year-old Spanish tennis star player, won his first-ever Wimbledon title on Sunday 16th July. He defeated the world no. two Novak Djokovic in the finals of the Wimbledon 2023. Carlos is currently ranked the World no. 1  and has 2 grand slam titles in his name so far.

Carlos Alcaraz Wimbledon Journey 

Alcaraz started his Wimbledon by beating J. Chardy in a match which ran till 3-sets. After this he defeated N. Jarry, M. Berrettini, H. Rune, D. Medvedev and then in the final he defeated Novac Djokovic to become the Wimbeldon 2023 Champion. 

The Final Showdown

As the Final match began yesterday, Novak Djokovic was a clear favorite of winning the title. The expectations proved right as Djokovic won the first-set by 6-1 but but after that Alcaraz did a come-back by scoring of 7-6 in the second set, he also won the third set of the match. Djokovic did a comeback in the fourth set and won it by 6-3. The game went till the last set where Alcaraz defeated the world No. 2 by a margin of 6-4 to become the champion of the Wimbledon.
