Rajasthan spinner Yuzvendra Chahal lauded LSG speedster Mayank Yadav for his tremendous debut in the Indian Premier League 2024. The tearaway pacer has already bowled the fastest ball in this season of the tournament, and has broken into the list of top 5 fastest balls bowled in the history of the competition as well. Asked about Mayank's fierce pace, Chahal said that it was good to see someone from India bowling at this high pace.
After Umran Malik, Mayank is the second pacer in India who has broken the 155KMPH barrier in the recent times. Speaking at the press conference ahead of RR vs RCB, Chahal hoped that Mayank will touch 160 KMPH as well. Only a few pacers in the history of world cricket have been able to achieve those speeds. After in invention of the speed gun, Brett Lee, Shaun Tait, Mitchell Starc and Shoaib Akhtar have bowled above 160ks.
"It feels great to see someone bowl this fast for India. He is very young and I want Mayank Yadav to touch 160," Chahal said about the tearaway fast bowler.
