Asia Cup 2025: India thrashes China 7-0 to reach final, to face Korea

India thrashed China 7-0 in its final Super 4s fixture at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium in Rajgir on Saturday to book its place in the Asia Cup final.

Craig Fulton’s side had six different goal-scorers on the night to finish top of the group ahead of Korea on goal difference.

Shilanand Lakra opened the scoring in the fourth minute before Dilpreet Singh converted a penalty corner in the seventh minute to make it 2-0.

Mandeep Singh converted another PC for a third in the second quarter to give India a commanding lead in the opening half.

Rajkumar Pal Singh and Sukhjeet Singh put the scoreline out of sight in the third quarter before Abhishek added two more to complete China’s misery.

India, which is back in the summit clash for the first time since 2017, will take on defending champion Korea in the final on Sunday.
