OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's sister has filed a lawsuit against her brother, accusing him of sexually abusing her for years. In her lawsuit, Annie Altman claimed she was sexually abused between 1997 and 2006 - a charge called by the OpenAI CEO "utterly untrue".

Annie made similar allegations against the OpenAI CEO in 2021 on social media but had not taken any legal action. Annie claimed that the abuse took place at their home in Missouri. The ordeal began when Annie was just three years old, the lawsuit said.

In her lawsuit, Annie claimed that she was sexually abused "several times per week", resulting in "severe emotional distress, mental anguish, and depression", as per a report in CNBC. She has requested a jury trial and compensation of $75,000.

The CEO of OpenAI, which developed ChatGPT, has denied the allegations and posted a statement on X that has been signed by his mother, Connie, and younger brothers, Max and Jack.
