The application runs on Python 3.8 or later, OpenAI API key, and PINECONE API key. Among its limitations, the authors have stated that AutoGPT is not a polished application or product and that it is just an experiment. It may not perform well in complex, real-world business scenarios. The authors have also sought results from users in case the application performs well for them. Besides, it is quite expensive to run and the authors have advised users to set and monitor API key limits with OpenAI.
AutoGPT can leverage the power of GPT-4 to autonomously develop and manage businesses. One of the models is designed to help “increase the net worth of businesses through data-driven decisions.”
The main objective of the application is to analyse market data, track profitable business opportunities and take action. These actions and strategies may also include buying stocks or other assets, implementing new marketing campaigns, or developing new products.
