The Enforcement Directorate (ED) stated on Thursday that the agency will summon Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal again in the money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy scam. The agency's remarks came amid rumours that the ED would raid the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo's residence and arrest him today.

The Enforcement Directorate also told India Today TV that they are examining the reply filed by Kejriwal in response to the previous summons.

The AAP leaders, including Ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, alleged that they have received information suggesting that the Delhi Chief Minister is likely to be arrested on Thursday after the central probe agency conducts raids at his residence. Several AAP workers also gathered outside Kejriwal's residence this morning, anticipating the ED action.

However, the Enforcement Directorate dismissed the claims by AAP leaders. The probe agency sources stated that there was no such plan today to raid Kejriwal's residence.

Kejriwal has skipped three summonses, with the latest one asking him to appear before the agency on Wednesday. He sent a five-page reply to the investigating officer of the case on Wednesday, calling the summons "illegal". He stated that the "non-disclosure and non-response approach" of the agency cannot sustain the test of law, equity, or justice, and this "obstinacy" of the ED amounts to assuming the role of judge, jury, and executioner.

Meanwhile, AAP announced that Kejriwal will go on a three-day Gujarat tour between January 6 and 8. The Delhi Chief Minister will hold public rallies in the state as the party prepares for the Lok Sabha elections. Kejriwal will also meet MLA Chaitar Basawa in jail and will also visit his family.
