Maha Kumbh, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13), is the world's largest spiritual and cultural gathering, attracting devotees from across the globe. It will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam on the occasion of Magh Ashtami and Bhishma Ashtami on February 5. He also offered prayers at Triveni Sangam, holding rudraksha beads and chanting Sanskrit mantras. After performing the ritual bath, the Prime Minister remarked that he was "overcome with a sense of devotion" and felt "blessed to be at the Maha Kumbh".

Earlier today, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with his family, took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. Dhami expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, calling himself "fortunate" to visit and take a holy dip, also adding that preparations for the Kumbh Mela 2027 in Haridwar are already underway.
