

A plane carrying NCP leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar reportedly crashed on Wednesday morning while attempting to land at Baramati airport in Maharashtra. According to early reports, Pawar sustained serious injuries in the incident and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Visuals from the crash site showed wreckage scattered across the area, with flames and thick smoke billowing from the aircraft. Pawar was travelling in a privately operated chartered plane, which reportedly had three other passengers on board.
The accident occurred as the aircraft was attempting to land at Baramati airport. However, there has been no official confirmation from Pawar’s office or government authorities so far. Emergency response teams were rushed to the spot, and further details regarding the condition of the passengers and the incident are awaited.
The cause of the crash and the exact condition of the 66-year-old leader are yet to be ascertained.
Pawar had attended a Cabinet meeting in Mumbai on Tuesday and was en route to Baramati for a series of meetings related to the upcoming civic elections in Pune.
