A court in Patna has reserved its order on the anticipatory bail plea of educator and YouTuber Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, in connection with a firing and vandalism case linked to his coaching institute. The matter was heard on Monday, after which the court decided to reserve its decision.

According to reports, Khan Sir approached the court seeking protection from arrest after an FIR was registered against him under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act following an incident that took place outside the Khan Global Studies Institute on June 2.

Speaking to reporters after the hearing, Khan Sir’s lawyer, Arvind Kumar Mahuar, said the arguments had been presented before the court and that the judge had reserved the order. He added that no decision had been delivered yet and that the outcome would depend on the facts and legal provisions involved in the case.

During the proceedings, the defence argued that the FIR was motivated and filed with the intention of damaging Khan Sir’s reputation. The lawyer maintained that his client had no direct role in the incident and had been implicated despite not being personally involved.

The controversy stems from a disturbance outside the coaching institute during which shots were allegedly fired into the air. Police later registered a case at Kadamkuan Police Station under relevant sections of the BNS and the Arms Act against three individuals, including Khan Sir.

According to the police investigation, video footage allegedly showed two individuals firing into the air after acts of vandalism at the institute. Authorities stated that the two guards seen in the footage were later identified and detained. The firearms used in the incident were reportedly seized and sent for forensic examination.

Based on the findings of the investigation, police named Khan Sir and others in the FIR. The matter remains under investigation, and the court's decision on the anticipatory bail plea is awaited. Separately, reports have noted that journalist Anjana Om Kashyap and the TV Today Network have filed a defamation suit against Khan Sir before the Delhi High Court.

The suit reportedly concerns remarks made during a debate related to online educators and seeks the removal of allegedly defamatory content from online platforms.

As of now, no judicial finding has been made regarding the allegations in either matter. The criminal case remains under investigation, while the anticipatory bail plea and the defamation proceedings are pending before the courts.
