

The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday unveiled its joint manifesto for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, pledging a comprehensive development roadmap, with an assurance of one crore government jobs and a flood-free Bihar within five years.
The manifesto was jointly released in Patna by Union Minister and BJP chief JP Nadda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Minister and HAM(S) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, and RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha.
The NDA also promised enhanced women’s empowerment schemes and robust improvements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
It also highlighted commitments to make Bihar a global skill hub, industrial centre, and cultural tourism destination.
The NDA alliance includes the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. The Mahagathbandhan alliance, led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), includes Congress, CPI-ML, CPI, CPM, and Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP).

Employment for every youth: Over 1 crore jobs through government and private opportunities, skill census and mega skill centres in every district.
Empowered and self-reliant women: Up to Rs 2 lakh assistance under Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana, one crore Lakhpati Didis and ‘Mission Crorepati’ for women entrepreneurs.
Economic and social empowerment of EBCs: Rs 10 lakh financial aid for the various Economically Backward Class communities and a high-level committee under a retired Supreme Court judge for fair upliftment measures.
Farmers’ dignity and MSP guarantee: Launch of ‘Karpuri Thakur Kisan Sanman Nidhi’ with Rs 3,000 annual aid, Rs 1 lakh crore agri-infrastructure investment and MSP procurement of key crops.
Fisheries and dairy missions: Rs 9,000 assistance for fish farmers, doubling production through the Matsya Mission, and the Bihar Dairy Mission for chilling and processing centres in every block.
Expressways and rail connectivity: Implementation of the Bihar Gati Shakti Master Plan with seven expressways, 3,600 km modern rail tracks, and Amrit Bharat and NaMo Rapid Rail services.
Modern urban development: Development of New Patna as a world-class smart city and creation of Sitapuram near Janaki’s birthplace as a spiritual heritage city.
Direct international flights from Bihar: Greenfield international airports near Patna, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur, domestic flights from 10 new cities and a metro in four cities.
Industrial revolution guarantee: Rs 1 lakh crore investment under the Viksit Bihar Industrial Mission, Industrial Development Master Plan for job creation.
Factory in every district: Establishment of modern manufacturing units and 10 new industrial parks across the state.
Era of blue-age economy: Position Bihar as a global backend hub and workspace within five years with Rs 50 lakh crore investment.
‘Panchamrit’ guarantee for the poor: Free ration, 125 units of free electricity, Rs 5 lakh free healthcare, 50 lakh new houses, and social security pensions.

Voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will take place in two phases, on November 6 and 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.
Bye-elections for eight seats across seven states and Union Territories will also be held on November 11.
