An Instagram user shared a disturbing video that has left many unsettled. The video, which quickly went viral, shows worms hiding inside the granules of the beloved childhood cereal, Kellogg’s Chocos.

The social media user named @cummentwala_69’s video begins with a close-up of a single piece of Chocos cereal. With a hint of humour, the person behind the camera wonders aloud if Kellogg's had decided to add an "extra dose of protein" to their product.

However, the jest turns to concern as the granule is split open, revealing a white worm. As the video progresses, it becomes evident that this was no isolated incident; several other pieces of cereal have the same alarming issue, and even the bottom of the cereal packet shows evidence of infestation.

What makes this discovery even more concerning is that the cereal package did not expire, with the date marked as March 2024.

Kellogg's India promptly responded with a statement of regret for the distress caused. They assured that their Consumer Affairs team would reach out to the Instagram user to address the concerns raised. “We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you. Our Consumer Affairs team would get in touch with you to understand your concern. Request you to inbox us your contact details,” they wrote.
