The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has accepted the resignations of its General Secretary, Champat Rai, and trustee Anil Mishra amid the ongoing controversy over alleged embezzlement of Ram Mandir donation funds.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Trust said the resignations were accepted in accordance with the provisions of its constitution. It did not provide further details on the reasons behind the decision.

The development comes as investigations continue into the alleged misuse of donation funds linked to the Ram Temple. According to officials, eight people have been arrested in connection with the case. The accused have been identified as Ramashankar Yadav alias Tinnu, Anukalp Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Karunesh Pandey, Manish Yadav, Lavkush Mishra, Ramashankar Mishra, and Subhash Srivastava.

Investigators are examining the alleged financial irregularities and the roles of those arrested. Media reports have stated that Ramashankar Yadav, also known as Tinnu, is considered to be a close associate of Champat Rai. However, no court has established any wrongdoing by Rai, and no official investigating agency has announced charges against him in connection with the alleged embezzlement.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not yet disclosed further details regarding the alleged financial transactions or the extent of the purported embezzlement. The Trust has not indicated whether new appointments to the vacant positions will be announced immediately.
