The Mumbai police arrested a 24-year-old biker for performing a dangerous stunt along with two women at Bandra-Kurla Complex. The accused has been identified as Faiyaz Qadri alias Faiz. The police said that the incident took place in the month of December. The video was tweeted by an activist and it went viral on social media. The Police also seized the bike that was used in the crime.
Police arrested trio from his Antop Hill residence, based on bike's registration number. Upon investigation, it is found that the video is of Dec 2022. Sec 308 of IPC is applied in offence. Accused has a criminal history, he was externed from Wadala TT PS for a year: Mumbai Police
The trio is charged with sections 279 (rash driving) and 336 (endangering lives) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) as well as provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act. The women are also charged with section 114 (abettor present when offence is committed) of IPC.
The video clip, surfaced after an activist tweeted about it on the Twitter handle @PotholeWarriors. Responding to the video, Mumbai Traffic Police said in a tweet, “A case has been registered with BKC Police Station. An investigation into identifying the accused is underway. If anyone has any information about persons in this video, you can DM us directly.” (sic)
