

J&K: The CRPF on Monday paid floral tributes to 40 of its personnel killed in the Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019. Additional Director General (ADG), CRPF, DS Chaudhary, led the officers and jawans of the paramilitary force in paying their tributes at the martyr's memorial here about 25 kms from Srinagar.ADG Chaudhary and other CRPF personnel laid floral wreaths at the memorial and saluted sacrifices of the 40 personnel who lost their lives when a suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus which was part of a convoy travelling from Jammu to Srinagar.Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 14 paid homage to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel who lost their lives in a terrorist attack on their convoy in 2019 and said their bravery and supreme sacrifice motivate every Indian to work towards a strong and prosperous country.Meanwhile, he tweeted, “I pay homage to all those martyred in Pulwama on this day in 2019 and recall their outstanding service to our nation. Their bravery and supreme sacrifice motivates every Indian to work towards a strong and prosperous country.”As per reports, in a retaliatory strike, the Indian Air Force had carried out an airstrike in Pakistan's Balakot on February 26, 2019, targeting terrorist camps.(With Inputs From Agencies)
